What is a Flex Day?
Flex days are scheduled throughout the semester to give you time to catch up on assignments, get extra help, review difficult concepts, or practice skills you've been learning.
Purpose of Today's Class
Today's flex day allows you to:
- Complete any unfinished exercises from Unit 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3
- Review concepts you found challenging (basics, colors, or shapes)
- Get one-on-one help from your teacher
- Practice programming skills at your own pace
- Ask questions about anything you didn't understand
Follow Teacher Instructions
Your teacher will provide specific instructions for today's class activities. Check for announcements in your Learning Management System (Schoology, Google Classroom, etc.) or listen carefully to directions given in class.
Make the Most of This Time
- Log into CMU CS Academy and check your progress
- Identify exercises that need completion
- Ask for help when you're stuck
- Work productively and stay on task
- Use this time to strengthen your foundation before moving forward
